Should Drones be used in Warfare?

The article discusses whether using drones is morally right or not. The author points out instances when drones killed innocent civilians. The author also points out the benefits of using drones for military operations. What is your opinion of using drones for warfare? Is it necessary for victory or not?

  1. I believe if we can get the job done without sending human troops out with the risk of getting killed, I am all for it but I understand the complications with that. I am also really curious to know your opinion on drones for non-war related use such as the Amazon drones? Is the integrity of technology or privacy compromised with this technology?

    1. I'm in favor of using drones for now-war related use, but if the drone is used in nefarious or illegal activity, I'm entirely against using drones. I believe this technology has the potential to compromise privacy but it depends on the user. As stated before if the drone is used properly it is okay, but if the user decides to spy on people, then it is obvious this technology can compromise privacy.

    2. I've never thought about the importance of drones before I saw an ad for a movie that exposed the utter (no pun intended) disgust involved in the dairy industry. Like any other piece of invasive technology, drones could be used for good and evil. It depends on what YOU define as "good" and "evil", though. In my opinion, war in general is unnecessary and overtly destructive. If we have war, and the legal killings of thousands of people, drones are of little importance to me. Yes, they play a huge part, but let's be honest: illegal utilization of drones is only one "immoral" tactic used in warfare. So, it's really dependent on the user and their intentions (as well as the consequences of their actions).
